The Apartment
The first floor apartment is stylishly decorated in Farrow & Ball colours, and furnished with Laura Ashley sofas, an Aga wood-burning stove will keep you cosy on chilly evenings. The sunny south-facing sitting room looks out onto our woodland where you can watch red squirrels and the abundant birdlife go about their business.
The 2 double bedrooms are at either end of the sitting room, one room has a 6ft bed which can convert into a twin bedded room if you require. The other has an antique French double bed from which you can gaze at the magnificent copper beech in the wood.
Wonderful walks can be taken from the door, fishing can be arranged on the River Caldew just down the lane, the Lake District National Park is just a 10 minute drive away giving you access to the delightfully quiet Northern Fells, or the World Heritage site Hadrians Wall is also easily reached in around 20 minutes.
So whether you want to explore or just totally relax, our excellent central location means The Apartment has all the ingredients for a special rural retreat away from hustle and bustle.
